General Guest Information

We are located on the central Oregon Coast, about 30 minutes south of Newport, on the north end of Yachats. We are one mile north of downtown Yachats. Our address is 280 Overleaf Lodge Lane, Yachats Oregon 97498.

Check-in at Overleaf Lodge begins at 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM.

Overleaf Lodge Lobby is open 7:30 AM–9:00 PM daily. If you will be arriving to check in after the lobby closes, please call us during business hours on the day of arrival to set up a late arrival. We will put your key cards in a lock box. Alternatively, download our app from the Apple Store or Google Play to check in or check out. You can even access your room with a digital key through the app.

Overleaf Lodge guest rooms are guaranteed by 4:00 PM. We cannot guarantee an early check-in time. If you would like to request a late check-out, please chat with our front desk on the morning of your departure. We do limit these requests to ensure we can have the room sparkling clean for our next arriving guests.

For the best prices and service, book directly with us at Overleaf Lodge & Spa. You can book online or through our app or call our front desk to make a reservation — it’s easy! Download our app from the Apple Store or Google Play and book your stay, plan your trip and check in or check out. You can even access your room with a digital key through the app.

To reserve a room at Overleaf Lodge & Spa, you must be 18 years of age or older. We require all minors to be accompanied by an adult in their guest room.

Yes, though all reservations must be made under the name of the guest who will be checking in, and a valid ID is required at arrival. If you wish to pay for another guest’s stay, please notify our staff. We can provide a credit card authorization form or help you purchase a gift certificate to cover the cost.

All Overleaf Lodge hotel room reservations can be cancelled at no charge up to 72 hours prior to arrival. If the reservation is cancelled within 72 hours, there will be a charge for the first night’s room rate plus tax.

For the Spruce Needle Suite, reservations must be canceled 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date in order to avoid a charge. If canceled less than 30 days prior to the scheduled arrival date, the cost of the suite will be charged unless the suite is re-booked for the entire period of the reservation.

Overleaf Lodge & Spa is a cashless property. We accept all major debit or credit cards, as well as Overleaf gift certificates. Please note that all reservations must be guaranteed with a valid debit or credit card at the time of booking. Full payment will be taken at check in.

No deposit is required when booking a room for the lodge. Full payment will be taken at check in. However, our Overleaf Cottage Rentals do require a deposit of the first night’s room rate plus tax at the time of booking.

While a card is required to guarantee your stay, full payment for your lodge room will be taken at check-in. Please note that Overleaf Cottage Rentals follow a different policy and require a deposit at the time of booking.

To ensure a fresh and healthy environment for everyone, Overleaf Lodge & Spa is a strictly smoke-free property. This policy includes tobacco, marijuana and vapes in all indoor and outdoor spaces.

To ensure a serene and allergy-friendly environment for all guests, Overleaf Lodge is a pet-free establishment. Our sister property, The Fireside Motel, offers pet-friendly accommodations next door.

No. We are pleased to provide complimentary on-site self-parking for all Overleaf Lodge & Spa guests.

No. Overleaf Lodge does not charge daily resort fees. Your room rate includes a wide variety of hotel amenities, including a full breakfast, complimentary beverages, DVD checkouts, high-speed Wi-Fi, access to our oceanfront spa facilities (for guests 18+), as well as electric vehicle charging – all free of charge.

If you feel an earthquake or if an official tsunami warning is issued, walk quickly up Diversity Drive directly across Hwy 101 from the lodge. Do not pack. Do not drive. Go. See our evacuation route map.

Yes! Gift certificates for Overleaf Lodge or Overleaf Spa are available for purchase online in a customizable format that’s instantly accessible for print or email. Please note that these gift certificates are nontransferable between Overleaf Lodge and Overleaf Spa. Our gift certificates never expire!

We are committed to reducing our environmental footprint at Overleaf Lodge & Spa and take pride in being stewards of the Yachats area through several key practices, including community contributions to Cape Perpetua Collaborative, South Lincoln Resources & Food Share, Little Art Museum of Yachats and 804 Trail State Park, among others.

  • Cape Perpetua Collaborative: Our guests donate $1 per night to support research and education at the nearby Cape Perpetua Marine Reserve.
  • Trail Stewardship: We contribute annually to View the Future, a local nonprofit that maintains the historic 804 Trail that runs right past our property and sister property, The Fireside Motel.
  • Electric vehicle (EV) charging options: We provide four complimentary Level 2 EV charging stations on the east side of our parking lot for guest use. We also have two additional chargers at our sister property, The Fireside Motel, right next door. Please visit the front desk to receive an RFID key for access.
  • Water Conservation: We use low-flow showerheads, dual-flush toilets, and faucet aerators in all guest rooms.
  • Waste Reduction: We have eliminated single-use plastic bottles for toiletries by installing high-quality, Oregon-made DANI Naturals soap, shampoo, and conditioner dispensers in every lodge bathroom. We also use real dishes for breakfast service to avoid disposable waste.
  • Recycling: Every guest room is equipped with a blue recycling bin for plastic, cans and cardboard.
  • Hydration Stations: To discourage single-use plastic water bottles, we provide filtered water hydration stations in the lobby and spa.
  • Dark Sky Lighting: To protect the local ecosystem and allow for better stargazing, we use outdoor lighting designed to minimize light pollution and lessen our impact on the “dark sky” over the ocean.

Guest Room Accommodations

Yes! All Overleaf Lodge rooms are oceanfront and offer a beautiful ocean view.

To ensure your stay is as private and restful as possible, Overleaf Lodge & Spa does not provide daily housekeeping. However, we are happy to provide fresh towels or additional supplies upon request. For guests staying with us four days or longer, we provide a stay-over housekeeping service, which our team will help you schedule during your check-in for a time that is most convenient for you.

Yes, many Overleaf Lodge rooms include gas fireplaces to keep you cozy while you watch the waves. This includes our Sunset Suites, Restless Waters, Inglenook and Cook’s Galley hotel rooms, as well as our Grand Pacific Suite.

Many Overleaf Lodge rooms and suites feature whirlpool or jetted tubs. Our oceanfront Grand Pacific Suite includes two bathrooms, each with a champagne bubble tub. Our Restless Waters and upper-level Sunset Suites (rooms 201 & 301) feature oceanfront, two-person whirlpool tubs. Please check your specific hotel room description when booking.

We offer several options for Overleaf Lodge guests who prefer to cook. All rooms have a microwave, refrigerator and coffee maker. Our Grand Pacific Suite features a full kitchen. Other lodge rooms, such as the Sunset Suites and Cooks Galley rooms, include convenient kitchenettes with dishes and appliances. In addition, we also have other options that are perfect for families and groups, such as our Spruce Needle Suite and Overleaf Cottage Rentals.

Yes, we have complimentary laundry facilities available to guests of Overleaf Lodge. The Laundry Room is located on the third floor and includes one washer and dryer. Soap is provided.

The Spruce Needle also has a washer and dryer for guests staying in the suite.

In addition to amenities that ensure your comfort and relaxation, three Overleaf Lodge rooms (114, 213, 313) include accessibility features, such as a tub/shower combo or roll-in shower with grab bars and removable shower heads. Shower chairs, toilet risers available upon request.

Our Sunset Suites, Cooks Galley and some Whale Watcher rooms offer connecting room options. We also have one Restless Waters room that adjoins with an Inglenook room. Included here are our connecting rooms:

We offer several lodging options for families and groups, including our Spruce Needle Suite (sleeps 5) and Overleaf Cottage Rentals (sleeps up to 12), as well as three lodge rooms that sleep up to 6 guests:

  • 104 Cooks Galley with patio: 2 Queen beds, plus a sleeper sofa
  • 105 Whale Watcher with patio and fireplace: 2 Queen beds, plus a sleeper sofa
  • 220 Grand Pacific Suite: 2 Masters each with a King bed, plus a sleeper sofa in living room

Our ground-floor rooms feature sliding glass doors that open to the Pacific Ocean. While the lodge sits on a dramatic rocky coastline, these rooms put you just steps away from the shoreline and the historic 804 Trail.

Overleaf Lodge & Spa is situated on a stunning rocky shoreline, perfect for watching powerful waves and exploring tide pools. If you are looking for a sandy beach, you’ll find it just a short, half-mile walk north along the historic 804 Trail.

Vacation Rentals & Events

Yes! We offer Overleaf Cottage Rentals for guests seeking a more residential experience. These beautiful homes can accommodate six to 12 people and require a minimum stay of two nights or more. Please note that while these rentals offer more space, lodge amenities such as the complimentary breakfast and spa access are not included.

Because our cottages are often booked for larger groups and longer stays, they have a 30-day cancellation policy. Reservations must be cancelled at least 30 days prior to arrival to avoid a cancellation fee. A deposit for the first night’s room and tax is taken at the time of booking.

Yes! We have the Overleaf Event Center, as well as the Overleaf Library/Conference Room.

The Overleaf Event Center can accommodate up to 50 guests and is an ideal venue for small wedding receptions, celebrations, business meetings or retreats. Tables and chairs are included in the rental. If you’re interested or have questions, please complete our Event Center Interest Form.

We also have the Overleaf Library, located on the second floor of Overleaf Lodge, which includes a boardroom table that seats 12 and has enough room for 20 people total, making it the perfect spot for a small business meeting or small gathering. Overleaf Library is reservable for exclusive access for a fee, but it is open to Overleaf Lodge guests when it’s not reserved. The library includes books, puzzles, even knitting supplies for those feeling crafty. We would love to help you celebrate your special day! The Overleaf Event Center is a beautiful venue for small, intimate wedding receptions and celebrations for up to 50 guests. While we do not have an on-site restaurant, we can provide a list of wonderful local caterers to help you plan your menu.

Lodge Amenities

We do not have a restaurant, but there are several wonderful dining options within a mile of the lodge. We do serve a complimentary breakfast exclusively for lodge guests, featuring a delicious variety of hot and cold choices daily. Gluten-free and other dietary options are available upon request. Breakfast reservation times are made at check-in. In addition, we offer picnic and gift packages featuring sensational Pacific Northwest snacks and specialty items (wine, glasses, mugs, bath bombs, roses, chocolates and more) that can be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance. Also in the lobby, our guest pantry includes an assortment of food and beverages, including frozen heat-and-eat entrees and alcoholic/non-alcoholic beverages, and various travel necessities.

Yes! Overleaf Lodge & Spa serves a delicious complimentary breakfast in the lobby, 7:30 AM to 10:30 AM, featuring a variety of homemade hot and cold options crafted fresh in our kitchen. Our featured dishes change daily, and favorites are served each morning. Gluten-free and other dietary special needs options are available upon request. Breakfast reservation times are made at check-in. To maintain a cozy atmosphere, our breakfast service is reserved exclusively for guests of the lodge.

No, Overleaf Lodge does not have an onsite bar, but we do have a beautiful, welcoming Wine Cove featuring some of our favorite local winemakers, available for sale by the bottle. We also offer curated picnic and gift packages featuring Pacific Northwest favorites, as well as specialty items (wine, beer, glasses, mugs, bath bombs, roses, chocolates and more) that can be pre-ordered 24 hours in advance and ready for your arrival.

No. We do not have a swimming pool. However, there are two oceanfront soaking tubs in the spa for guests aged 18 and older.

Yes! At Overleaf Lodge & Spa, you can fully immerse yourself in the sights and sounds of the ocean, not only from the comfort of your room, but also from our oceanview spa and its warm, relaxing oceanfront soaking tubs. Access to the spa and soaking tubs is included with your lodge stay. We recommend that you book massages, facials and body treatments when you reserve your room, as spots fill up fast. Spa appointments can be made three months in advance. Spa amenities are for guests aged 18 and older.

Yes, the exercise room, located on the 3rd floor across from Room No. 314, includes ocean views and is available to Overleaf Lodge guests between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, daily. In the exercise room you’ll find an elliptical trainer, exercise ball, stationary bike, treadmill, TV, yoga mat, functional weight trainer, free weights and a weight bench.

Yes! Located in our lobby, our gift shop features a variety of specialty clothing, handcrafted jewelry, food and beverage items and other unique keepsakes and gifts. You can also find high-quality skincare and swimsuits for sale within Overleaf Spa. For even more treasures, the Village Gift Gallery is located next door in the lobby of our sister property, The Fireside Motel.

Overleaf Spa

The Overleaf Spa features two oceanview soaking tubs — a spacious 99-degree tub that accommodates up to 10 people, and a more intimate 104-degree tub for up to six. The spa also includes well-appointed, gender-specific locker rooms — each with a steam room and dry sauna. Access to the spa is those ages 18 and over and is free for Overleaf Lodge and Spruce Needle Suite guests. Swimsuits are required and are available for purchase. Book a spa treatment online or call the spa directly at 541-547-4885. The spa is typically open daily from 9:00 am to 8:00 pm. Swimsuits are required and are available for purchase. We also have an exercise room equipped for strength and cardio workouts, open 8 am – 8 pm, daily.

Access to the Overleaf Spa soaking tubs, steam room and saunas is complimentary for all Overleaf Lodge and Spruce Needle Suite guests aged 18 and older. Guests of the Overleaf Cottage Rentals or The Fireside Motel, or non-guests, may access these facilities by purchasing a Spa Day Pass or booking a spa treatment.

For your convenience, a 20% gratuity is automatically included in the listed price of all Overleaf Spa treatments and massages.

The Overleaf Spa facilities, including our oceanfront soaking tubs, steam room and saunas, are typically open daily from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Please note the following exceptions to our standard schedule:

  • First Thursday of Each Month: The spa opens at 3:00 PM and closes at 8:00 PM. On these first Thursdays the tubs are closed for maintenance. Limited spa treatments are available in our auxiliary room prior to the 3:00 PM facility opening.
  • Treatment Hours: Hours for massages and facials vary by appointment. We recommend booking in advance to ensure your preferred time.

We recommend wearing the complimentary robe found in your Overleaf Lodge guest room. Swimsuits are required for the Overleaf Spa soaking tubs and are available for sale. If you have a scheduled treatment, please plan your soak before your appointment, as spa products (oils and lotions) can affect the tub water chemistry. A cleansing shower is required before entering the soaking tubs and before treatments.

To maintain our high water-quality standards, Overleaf Spa requires all guests to shower thoroughly before entering the soaking tubs. This removes body oils, lotions and perfumes that can disrupt the tub water chemistry. Your cooperation helps us keep the facilities open and pristine for everyone. Showers are available in the changing rooms.

We sure do! At Overleaf Spa, we pride ourselves on using only high-quality, proven treatments and products that include superior ingredients in harmony with the environment. Our spa products include Aveda, Repêchage, Keyano Aromatics and Oregon-made DANI Naturals. These products, as well as swimsuits are available for purchase in our spa.
