Victorian Christmas Open Houses, Heceta Head Lightstation, Florence

Don’t miss the beautiful Keeper’s House decorated Victorian style for the holidays at Heceta Head Lighthouse State Scenic Viewpoint. Local musicians perform, too. Fee is $5 for parking per vehicle at the site.

New Year’s Day Peace Hike, Yachats

The Yachats Trails Committee organizes this annual hike at the start of the new year. The hike honors the memory of Amanda, a Native American woman forced to walk barefoot to a Yachats internment camp in 1864. The hike follows the Amanda Trail.
