In June, we traveled from Oklahoma to the Overleaf Lodge & Spa for our 30th wedding anniversary. The staff were all friendly and helpful, the hotel was clean and beautifully designed, and the gift shop was delightfully stocked. Our room was spacious and comfortable, stocked with lots of extras, and well-tended. Breakfast each morning was a delight with so many delicious and healthy options. My favorite breakfast dessert was the raspberry scones, but my husband’s was the bear claw pastry!
The landscaping of shrubs and flowers around Overleaf and along the trail were beautiful. We explored the quiet and tranquil varieties of shorelines on sandy beaches, pebble beaches, and rolling basalt rocks. The tide pools along the Overleaf shoreline were filled with anemones, starfish, rockfish, crabs, and urchins…AND were the best tide pools in the surrounding area.
The Yachats area is filled with sites to visit like Devils Churn and Thor’s Well, plus there’s charter fishing and lots of shops and restaurants within 20 minutes of Overleaf. After our days of exploring, we would relax on our deck watching sea lions fish, flocks of pelicans fly by, and waves roll in. We loved the ocean breeze blowing through the patio doors into our room each evening and snuggling at our fireplace after sunset walks on the 804 Trail along the lodge front.
After seeing our social media post of our anniversary week at Overleaf, all our friends and family wanted details to reserve their amazing trip. Our stay at Overleaf is a trip we will fondly remember forever!
