Job Title: Guest Room Attendant
Department: Housekeeping
Supervisor: Lead and Director of Housekeeping
Summary: Cleans hotel rooms by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Removes all previous linens. Sorts, counts, folds, or carries linens. Makes beds.

Replenishes supplies such as drinking glasses, amenities and writing supplies.

Cleans and restocks bathrooms and kitchen areas and items.
Thoroughly sweeps, scrubs and vacuums floor. Cleans carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies. Moves furniture. Uses vacuum corner tool throughout room.

Dusts and wipes furniture. Removes minor dirt from walls and woodwork. Washes windows, door panels, and sills. Cleans door entry and patios.

Empties and lines wastebaskets. Transports trash and recycling to disposal area. Replaces or requests light bulbs. Reports maintenance issues.

Empties and restocks cart for following day. Does end of day chores and washes dishes. Helps others before leaving and checking out with lead.

Personal Appearance – Dresses appropriately for position; keeps self well -groomed and practices good hygiene. Wears clean uniform and nametag. Keeps hair pulled back.

Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time; ensures work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrives at meetings and appointments on time. Works agreed upon schedule and shifts.

Dependability – Follows instructions, responds to management direction; takes responsibility for own actions; keeps commitments; commits to long hours of work when necessary to reach goals.; completes tasks on time or notifies appropriate person with an alternate plan. Is available on an on call basis for emergencies.
